NAIL POLISH
Nail polish is a lacquer that can be used on fingernails and toenails. It is very common for young girls to “paint their fingernails.” It come from a various color and design that can suit one’s

CHEMICALS INGREDIENT IN NAIL POLISH
It may look beautiful as you applied some nail polish to your nails, but did you know there are some chemical ingredients that are harmful for our health is in the nail polish???
Nail polish, polish removers and artificial nail products contain a host of toxic chemicals known or suspected to cause cancer, reproductive harm, asthma and other negative health effects. These chemicals ingredients may include formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), for dyes and pigments representative compounds include chromium oxide greens, chromium hydroxide, ferric ferrocyanide, stannic oxide, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, carmine, ultramarine, and manganese violet, for the glittery or shimmer look can be conferred by mica, bismuth oxychloride, natural pearls, and aluminum powder and many other chemicals. In this topic, we will discuss about 4 scary ingredients in the nail polish which are formaldehyde, toluene, acetone and dibutyl phthalate (DBP).

FORMALDEHYDE
Formaldehyde is found in some nail products such as nail hardener. Formaldehyde is typically used as a preservative, a sterilizer, and to embalm bodies. It’s also used in particle board and plywood because of its adhesive properties. Formaldehyde is considered as human carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. It is also an irritant to the eyes, nose and throat, and can lead to skin irritation and an allergic rash called dermatitis.

TOLUENE
Toluene helps suspend the color and form a smooth finish across the nail and it is also included in gasoline as an octane booster, and is also used as a raw material to create TNT. Toluene has been known to affects the central nervous system and can cause headaches, dizziness and fatigue. Toluene is a possible reproductive and developmental toxin.

DIBUTYL PHTHALATE (DBP)
Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) adds flexibility and a moisturizing sheen, and helps dissolve other cosmetic ingredients. While DBP is not believed to be a carcinogen, it has been linked to reproductive issues if the mother is exposed to it while pregnant it may affect the feminizing effects in baby boys.

ACETONE
Ethyl acetate and butyl acetate are acetones often used as solvents in nail polishes. Ethyl acetate and butyl acetate are used in nail polishes because they help the polish harden and dry quickly. It is believed that prolonged exposure to the fumes of these chemicals can lead to problems with the heart, lungs and liver.

SIDE EFFECT WHEN APPLYING NAIL POLISH TO YOUR NAIL
It can peel your nails or oil and proteins and this may make your nails seem more dull and fragile.
Redness/burning of treated skin or changes in shape/color of nail may occur.

For conclusion, the natural beauty looks the best. It is safer, cheaper and many benefits rather than artificial ones. Why do we have to harm our body to look pretty???
